Erik Spoelstra still proud of the Heat after late Game 7 collapse in hands of Celtics

Despite the close Game 7 defeat in their own territory, Erik Spoelstra is keeping his head high for the Miami Heat. 

The veteran coach didn’t deny the fact that this series against the Boston Celtics have kept then fighting for every inch. 

“This was one of the most admirable, honorable series that I’ve ever been a part of,” Spoelstra said after the 100-96 loss, via Five Reasons Sports. 

The Heat have managed to exert everything they can to try and punch that ticket to the NBA Finals. Battling injuries, inconsistencies and the odds against them before this deciding match on Sunday, the franchise is considerably a worthy one to made it this far of the postseason.

But eventually, the Celtics emerged victorious until the last buzzer hounded. They are set to face the Golden State Warriors for the Larry O’Brien trophy. 

“This team was here to compete for a title. In that regard, I think we lived up to those expectations. But we fell short and we’ll never know.”
