Philadelphia 76ers 2021-22 season in review: Matisse Thybulle

The 2021-22 season was an up and down one for Philadelphia 76ers guard Matisse Thybulle. The defensive stud out of Washington was able to once again make an impact on the defensive end on his way to All-Defensive Second Team honors, but his offense was once again a problem out on the floor.

Thybulle was able to make some strides on the offensive end in terms of being able to move off the ball and cut to the basket for easy layups, but it didn’t change the fact that teams still did not give him much attention on the offensive end of the floor.

With that being said, Thybulle started 50 of the 66 games he played in during the season and he was able to earn some confidence from coach Doc Rivers.

Thybulle’s 2021-22 season averages

5.7 points

2.3 rebounds

1.1 assists

1.7 steals

1.1 blocks

50% field goal percentage

31.3% 3-point field goal percentage

79.1% free-throw percentage
