As far as NBA Rumors go, the link of Denver Nuggets President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly to a similar role with the Minnesota Timberwolves is about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. That’s not red-hot, but it’s not cool to the touch, either. After all, this is a new NBA ownership group and they are eager to make a splash to elevate the level of play with the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise.
And the new owners know that to do that, they will need one of the best NBA executives to get them there. That means that they have set their sights on the Tier-1 executives in the league right now.
Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez put together a list of five POBOs to target shortly after purchasing the Timberwolves, sources say.
