Gary Payton II on Dillon Brooks’ flagrant foul on him: “I know he didn’t mean it, but no hard feelings, no bad blood”

A flagrant 2 foul by Dillon Brooks on Gary Payton II in Game 2 of the second round series between the Warriors and the Grizzlies has resulted in the Golden State guard fracturing his elbow and missing the rest of the series.

Payton revealed that he talked to the Memphis forward about the incident and that there is no animosity between the two players.

“Yeah, we talked. It’s all good, it’s a basketball play,” Payton said. “I know he didn’t mean it, but no hard feelings, no bad blood, it’s all good. It’s playoff basketball.”
