Dalen Terry Declares for NBA Draft, Will Retain Eligibility

TUCSON, Ariz. – On Friday, Arizona sophomore guard Dalen Terry announced that he will be entering the 2022 NBA Draft, but will retain his collegiate eligibility. He joins teammates Bennedict Mathurin and Christian Koloko in declaring early.

 



Terry was selected as part of the Pac-12 All-Defensive team in 2021-22 and was honorable mention all-conference. He shot 50.2% from the floor for the season and 36.4% from the 3-point line while averaging 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists. He ranked sixth int he Pac-12 in assists and ninth in steals (1.24) while his 2.84 assist-to-turnover ratio was the second-best in the Pac-12 and 11th-best in the country. For the season, he scored in double figures 15 times, including four the last five games of the season and was 9 of 15 from the 3-point line in the postseason.

Arizona has had 75 players selected in the NBA Draft taking back to 1948, the second-most in the Pac-12. The last Arizona players to be drafted were Josh Green (18th), Zeke Nnaji (22nd) and Nico Mannion (48th) in 2020.

The deadline to withdraw a name from the 2022 NBA Draft is 11:59 p.m. (ET) on June 1 and the 2022 NBA Draft is on June 23 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
