Ja Morant making promising progress in a possible return before postseason

Memphis Grizzlies lead man Ja Morant is making great progress in his own recovery. 

Head coach Taylor Jenkins detailed on Thursday that they are encouraged by their franchise point guard’s response to his ramp-up activities over the previous week. Morant even managed to play his first 5-on-5 scrimmage and Jenkins also claimed that there’s a chance he can return for the team’s remaining games before heading to the postseason this mid-April.

“He’s doing great, Jenkins about Morant’s recovery, via league writer Michael C. Wright. “He’s progressing really well. We’ve ramped him up over the last week or so. He’s getting close. He did 5-on-5 for the first time today. That’s really encouraging. He responded well afterward.”
