It didn’t go the way they hoped as the Oklahoma Sooners fell to St. Bonaventure in the second round of the NIT. Despite a pretty good shooting night from the Sooners and 26 points from Umoja Gibson, Oklahoma couldn’t overcome a slow start that saw them fall behind 8-0 to start the game.
St. Bonaventure’s three-point shooting was the difference in the ball game as the Bonnies shot 52.6% from three.
Now the Sooners head into their first full offseason of the Porter Moser era looking to build upon a program that just missed the NCAA tournament in Moser’s first year with Oklahoma.
