Spencer Dinwiddie is loving life in Dallas.

For the second-consecutive game, the former Wizards guard buried a game-winning 3-pointer for the Mavericks. This time around, it came against Kevin Durant and the Nets at the buzzer.

He hit a similar shot a few days prior in Boston when the Celtics’ defense collapsed on Luka Doncic and left Dinwiddie wide open from three. The Mavs are 10-2 since acquiring Dinwiddie from the Wizards in a trade for Kristaps Porzingis.

For Dinwiddie, getting traded to Dallas more or less saved his season. After struggling to find his footing in Washington as the team’s starting point guard, he’s flourished as an off-ball scoring threat next to Doncic. Dinwiddie no longer has to worry about making plays for everyone else with Doncic running the show. He can simply focus on doing what he does best: score.
