Media pegs Utah Jazz head coach for new gig prematurely

The Utah Jazz have been a consistent franchise since they moved from New Orleans to Salt Lake City. With that said, they haven’t been the model of consistency. That designation belongs to the San Antonio Spurs.

Hopefully, that doesn’t mean that Quin Snyder is Alamo bound. Recent rumors suggest that he’s next in line to coach the Spurs once the legendary Gregg Popovich hangs up his clipboard.

Utah Jazz head coach bound for greener pastures?

Marc Stein seems to think so. He recently reported the rumor, and understandably, it’s picking up steam. It’s not very often that a current head coach finds his name attached to rumors about joining a different squad.

At the same time, it’s not very often that an icon like Popovich leaves an iconic franchise like the Spurs. Being named Pop’s successor would be quite the honor. Is it necessarily a more desirable gig than the one Snyder currently holds?
