Even LeBron James got booed by the Lakers fans as their favorite team collapsed at home against the Pelicans (95-123). The crowd at Crypto.com Arena made it known that it did not appreciate the way the players in the purple and gold uniform were performing.
Russell Westbrook, who had 1 assists and 7 turnovers in this game and scored 16 points, said after the game that the boos from the crowd have no effect on him. “Nah,” was his response to a question if getting booed by the fans stick with him.
“Take it home for what?… I got three beautiful kids at my house, my wife. Ain’t taking it home. They take they boo and they take their ass home. I ain’t worried about that, doesn’t bother me none, that’s the part and I’m not really worried about it at all. That’s how I deal with it.
“I can roll off my shoulder when I go home. But as for our team, I have to think of something that you got to deal with and kind of move forward.”
