Mavericks Jump Up Two Spots In Regional Rankings Ahead of NSIC Tournament - Minnesota State University

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Minnesota State women’s basketball team has improved two spots from last week to the number six spot in the latest edition of the central region rankings.

The NCAA Central region is comprised of teams from the Great American Conference (GAC), Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The top eight teams advance to the NCAA regional tournament held on March 11-14. Winners of their respective conference tournaments will receive an automatic bid to participate in the regional tournament, while the remaining five spots will be awarded by at-large bids.

The Mavericks are rated third out of the three NSIC teams in the rankings, trailing St. Cloud State who is second and Minnesota Duluth who sits one spot down in third.
