Go on social media, and you’ll find Chicago Bulls fans calling Ayo Dosunmu a lottery pick.
The reality is Dosunmu fell to the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft and the Bulls were able to select the hometown star with the 38th overall pick.
Dosunmu didn’t expect to be waiting for a call that late in the draft, and according to Dosunmu, neither did Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Artūras Karnišovas.
“I talked to AK in Chicago and we actually joked about it,” Dosunmu told Rob Schaefer on the Bulls Talk Podcast. “I told him that the Bulls team, that of course it would be a good fit for me and that I love the organization. I love the way they coached. I love everything about it.
