Klay Thompson perks up whenever the Warriors face the Kings, and now we know why.

After scoring a team-high 23 points in the Warriors’ 126-114 win over the Kings at Chase Center on Thursday night, Thompson was asked what it was about Sacramento that brings out the best in him.

Klay gave the most Klay answer ever.

“Hey man, 2011 NBA Draft, with the 10th pick, the Sacramento Kings don’t select me,” Thompson told Bonta Hill, Chris Mullin and Dorell Wright on Warriors Postgame Live. “People don’t forget. That’s all I got to say.”

Thompson scored 20 of his 23 points Thursday in the first half, including six 3-pointers. He finished the game 8-of-11 from the field and 7-of-9 from 3-point range.

The Warriors took Thompson with the No. 11 overall pick in 2011. The Kings actually took Bismack Biyombo with the No. 7 overall pick, but traded him as part of a three-team deal with the Milwaukee Bucks…
