What to Know
The Texas A&M Aggies are 1-7 against the South Carolina Gamecocks since February of 2016, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit this past Saturday. A&M and USC will face off in an SEC battle at 8:30 p.m. ET at Reed Arena. The Gamecocks will be strutting in after a win while A&M will be stumbling in from a defeat.
A&M was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Wednesday as they fell 70-64 to the LSU Tigers. A silver lining for A&M was the play of guard Andre Gordon, who had 18 points. Gordon had some trouble finding his footing against the Arkansas Razorbacks two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction. Gordon’s points were the most he has had all year.
