What to Know
The Holy Cross Crusaders have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the American Eagles and are hoping to record their first win since Feb. 21 of 2018. Holy Cross and American will face off in a Patriot battle at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Bender Arena. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
The Crusaders lost a heartbreaker to the Bucknell Bison when they met in March of 2020, and they left with a heavy heart again this past Saturday. It was close but no cigar for Holy Cross as they fell 68-65 to Bucknell. Forward Gerrale Gates did his best for Holy Cross, finishing with 32 points (a whopping 49% of their total) and five dimes along with 13 rebounds.
