Solid Shooting Not Enough For Raiders Against SNC

DE PERE, Wis. – MSOE women’s basketball hit the road and headed up to St. Norbert to take on the Green Knights in the first ever NACC contest between the two ballclubs. Unfortunately, a big third quarter run allowed SNC to grab the victory and dealt the Raiders their second straight loss.

FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 50
St. Norbert – 69

HOW IT HAPPENED

MSOE (6-9, 4-5 NACC) got off to a hot start this evening, outscoring St. Norbert (12-5, 9-1 NACC) 17-12 in the first quarter and assembled a ten-point lead early on in the second frame.
Unfortunately, they also had their worst shooting period in the second making just three field goals as their advantage turned into a four-point halftime deficit.
The Red & White got back within two in the third, but a 12-3 Green Knights run put them in a hole they couldn’t climb out of.
The Raiders shot 39.5 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from downtown but headed back to Milwaukee with a 19-point loss.
