The University of Michigan has agreed to terms on a $490 million settlement with over 1,000 people who were allegedly sexual assaulted by a sports doctor who worked at the school for over 40 years.ย According to the Associated Press, attorney Parker Stinar revealed that 1,050 people were involved in the settlement, which was reached on Tuesday.

The lawsuits stated that Dr. Robert Anderson, who died in 2008, sexually assaulted people — including the school’s athletes — during routine medical examinations.
