Get ready for a Colonial battle as the Elon Phoenix and the James Madison Dukes will face off at 4 p.m. ET on Monday at Schar Center. The teams split their matchups last year, with James Madison winning the first 70-61 on the road and Elon taking the second 72-71.
The Phoenix were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 59-54 to the Towson Tigers.
Meanwhile, James Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against the William & Mary Tribe this past Saturday, sneaking past 95-91. The overall outcome was to be expected, but William & Mary made it more of a game than the oddsmakers had predicted.
Elon got away with a 72-71 win when the two teams previously met in March of last year. Their win shoved the Dukes out of the playoffs, so they have a target on their back.
