The Minnesota Golden Gophers will be returning home after a two-game road trip. The Golden Gophers and the Iowa Hawkeyes will face off in a Big Ten battle at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday at Williams Arena. The teams split their matchups last year, with Minnesota winning the first 102-95 at home and Iowa taking the second 86-71.
It was close but no cigar for Minnesota as they fell 71-69 to the Michigan State Spartans on Wednesday. Minnesota’s defeat shouldn’t obscure the performances of forward Eric Curry, who had 19 points in addition to seven boards, and guard Eylijah Stephens, who had 18 points along with six rebounds. Curry hadn’t helped his team much against the Indiana Hoosiers on Sunday, so this was a nice turnaround for him. Curry’s points were the most he has had all season.
