Though he remains the clear cornerstone of the league powerhouse in Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker will always have admiration for the franchise he fell in love with and have molded his basketball dreams upon growing up.
And that is the Detroit Pistons.
As the visiting Suns recently outlasted the Pistons via 135-108 victory, Booker posted an Instagram story – honoring the MoTown’s 2004 golden memorable run by highlighting its title banner.
Booker, a Grand Rapid native, revealed last year that the 2004 legendary defensive squad consisting of Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Tayshaun Prince are some of the things that inspired him to become who he is now. Even right at the post-game on Sunday, the star shooting guard didn’t hide his respect and favoritism for the Michigan-based club.
