Second Half Surge Not Enough For Saints

Madison, SD – The Presentation College Saints fell to the Dakota State Trojans by a score of 62-57. It Was the Saints fifth straight loss, and moved their record to 8-10 on the season. In conference play they are now 1-4.

It was a tale of two different halfs for the Saints, as they struggled in the first half. At one point they trailed by as many as 16 points, but were able to close within nine at the half, trailing 34-25.

In the second half, the Saints went on a 21-10 run to take a 46-44 lead with under 12 minutes to go. But the Trojans would take that lead right back.

The biggest play of the game occurred with 2:17 left in the game. The Trojans had the ball, and as the shot clock expired, Berto Gittens made a three point shot, giving the Trojans a 58-52 lead. They would go on to win 62-57.
