CA Ventures Makes Second Program-Changing Gift in Four Years

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced a second major gift in four years for Fighting Illini capital projects from CA Ventures, a real estate investment company founded by Gies College of Business alumnus Tom Scott. This most recent gift, which also is possible by the Scott Family Foundation, established in 2006 by Tom, Julie and Christopher Scott,  will pledge $4 million for the Ubben Basketball Complex renovation and expansion project and $1 million for the Illinois men’s tennis program. In 2018, CA Ventures also contributed $2.5 million to the Henry Dale and Betty Smith Football Center to name the rooftop terrace.
