The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Temple Owls are set to square off in an American Athletic matchup at 7 p.m. ET Jan. 12 at Donald Reynolds Center. The teams split their matchups last year, with Temple winning the first 76-67 at home and the Golden Hurricane taking the second 72-66.
Tulsa was close but no cigar last Tuesday as they fell 67-64 to the Memphis Tigers. Despite the defeat, Tulsa had strong showings from forward Jeriah Horne, who had 20 points, and guard Sam Griffin, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 25 points.
Speaking of close games: Temple narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the East Carolina Pirates 78-75. Guard Damian Dunn took over for Temple, finishing with 33 points (a whopping 42% of their total).
