Kemba Walker has missed the Knicks’ previous games after re-injuring his surgically repaired knee. There were fears he could need another surgery, however, Tom Thibideau revealed a crucial update on Walker’s situation.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, there is nothing structurally wrong with Walker’s knee. That doesn’t mean he will return soon, as he will need time to rest.

Tom Thibodeau confirmed the development recently:

“Yeah, it came back positive, so just general soreness,’’ Thibodeau said referring Walker’s knee. “So, it’ll be day-to-day. We want everything to calm down with him.”

In the last six games with Walker in the lineup, the Knicks went 4-2 after Tom Thibodeau decided to bring him back in the rotation amid COVID-19 struggles.

Walker is averaging 13.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game during this season. It’s still unclear when he will be able to get back in action.
