Kemba Walker Late Scratch With Knee Injury

Kemba Walker looked set to continue his resurgence on Friday, but then was a late scratch due to a knee injury. Walker hurt his left knee during warmups before the Knicks played at Oklahoma City and was removed from the lineup.

Walker rejoined New York’s starting lineup a couple of weeks ago, as the Knicks suffered a spate of injuries at the point guard position. Walker played so well, that he played in both ends of a back-to-back set early last week. That’s something he hadn’t done in over a year.

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said he had no update on Walker’s status after the game.

“It was last minute. He was warming up, and something didn’t feel right. So, I haven’t talked to the trainers yet. It was a last-minute scratch,” Thibodeau said. “I don’t know, because he started his warm-up, and then he stopped. And then (the trainer) was looking at him and just felt, let’s get him examined, and then we’ll go from there.’’
